Tanya Burr Sealed With A Kiss Gift Set | Birthday Gifts

Hello! It was my birthday a couple weeks ago and I got some lovely gifts so I thought I'd share a few of them with you. You'll be seeing one of them feature very heavily in December. If you don't follow me on Twitter, I've decided to do blogmas this year and the first 25 days will be each door of the Makeup Revolution advent calendar. Today though, we're talking about the Tanya Burr Sealed With A Kiss cosmetic bag set that my gorgeous wee pal Lisa got me.

In the gift set you receive a matte lip in cherry macaron (5ml), a matching lip liner in the same shade, a small mirror and of course the makeup bag it all comes in. Lisa was a little sneak and also got me the Nyx Cosmic Metals lip cream in shade 06 Solar Energy(4ml). Thanks boo, my first Nyx product!

We've started the process of decorating the flat so Euan and I have been organising and packing away all our stuff so nothing gets ruined, the makeup bag has come in very handy for holding all my brushes but once we've finished the decorating I can see me using this if I'm ever going away for a day or two. It's the perfect size to hold a face worth of products.
The applicators on both lip products are quite long with the Tanya Burr one being flatter and the Nyx one more of a curved doe foot. Both were new applicators to me as I tend to use short doe foots but both were a pleasure to use. The flatter brush on the Tanya Burr matte lip made getting my lines nice and sharp while the curved doe foot on the Nyx Cosmic Metal fit the shape of my lips perfectly for a nice even application.

It might be because my lips need a good scrub and some moisture in them thanks to the winter weather but I found the Tanya Burr matte lip super drying. It seemed to find every crack in my lips and settle in them all. The colour however is amazing and for that alone it's a win. I just need to remember and whip out a lush lip scrub in the future. The Nyx Comsic Metal was a pleasant surprise for me. I tend to avoid coral shades because I always think they won't suit me but this looked amazing against my skin. It was a dream to apply, super smooth and the colour payoff is excellent.

The lip pencil is an almost exact match for the matte lip and it's nice and buttery to apply once you get past that never been used harshness. I've got a couple other shades I'd like to try it out with to see how it holds up without it's matching counterpart. The little badge style mirror is more than likely going to live on my bedside table for very important pore checking.

This was my first time trying out 'YouTuber makeup' and I gotta say I was quite pleased with it. I might look more into Tanya Burr cosmetics. Do you have any recommendations?
